The pro-life movement has lost one of its greatest allies with the death of Mother Teresa of Calcutta.  The foundress of the Missionaries of Charity, a 4,000 member of Roman Catholic nuns, died of heart failure on September 5 at her convent in Calcutta.  She was 87.

The pro-life, pro-family community has much to celebrate in the life and work of Mother Teresa.  Her long-standing commitment to an orthodox faith, her defence of the unborn, and her rejection of contraception and extra-marital sex were much needed bulwarks against the seeping secularism of this generation.
