Linda Gibbons: “Common Sense Revolution is meaningless if it doesn’t protect life” Pro-life defender Linda Gibbons has wasted no time in again sacrificing her personal comfort and security in defence of the unborn. Gibbons, who was released from the Vanier Correctional Institute February 16, was re-arrested February 19 after demonstrating in front of the Scott abortuary on Gerrard St. East in Toronto. She has continually refused to obey a court injunction banning pro-life witnessing within 60 feet of specified abortion sites. As a ... (Continue reading)
A Colorado man’s unauthorized detention in a psychiatric hospital was the direct result of his opposition to abortion, say several U.S. pro-life officials. Kenneth Scott of Denver, a long-time pro-life activist, was arrested December 20 and spent the next 42 days in the Boulder Community Hospital psychiatric ward. He was released without conditions January 30. Scott plans to file a lawsuit against those who played a part in his detention. Pro-lifers believe Scott’s detention was based solely on the testimony of Dr. Warren ... (Continue reading)

In August 2004, Judge George Adams of the Ontario Court (General Division) issued a temporary injunction to prohibit sidewalk counselling near abortuaries. He also banned picketing within 500 feet of doctors’ homes. Offices of abortionists were also given a small bubble zone. This ruling will last until the trial. That case was a civil lawsuit where the Government of the Province of Ontario sued 18 pro-life people. Because it is a civil law suit, the Judge could decide what type ... (Continue reading)

“It is time for the government of British Columbia to … stop trying to limit peaceful picketing outside abortion clinics.” Globe and Mail editorial, January 26, 1996 We couldn’t have said it better ourselves. Now if only Ontario’s attorney general Charles Harnick would apply the same principle to the current injunctions banning pro-life picketing in his province. When Judge E.J. Cronin decided to strike down most of the B.C. NDP government’s offensive attempt to stifle the rights of free speech and assembly ... (Continue reading)

But the news is not all bad an recently a few things have occurred which have given me hope that the future ... (Continue reading)
