A sense of deja vu  surrounds Morrison case 
The dismissal of the Nancy Morrison case, the doctor from Halifax charged with the murder of an elderly patient, brings back memories of the legalization of abortion in the United States and the acquittal of Robert Latimer, two cases in which “mercy” and “compassion” were used to justify murder.

Frefericton, N.B. - Pro-lifers protested outside pro-abortion celebration of the 10th anniversary of abortion lawlessness in Canada.

Montreal - Homosexual Martin Dube challenged Quebec’s civil code defining marriage as between a man and a woman. 

Ottawa - A health ministry spokesman said the government is planning some form of legislation to restrict certain genetic practices. 

Toronto - Youth pro-life action day is set for May 16, 1998. 

Collingwood, ON - Ontario’s Conservative government discussed the abortion issue and a conscience clause, aiming to spend more time and effort on social issues.  

 Saskatoon - The University of Saskatchewan’s College of Education scheduled a conference examining the open acceptance of homosexuality by Canadian schools. 

Salmon Arm, BC - Knights of Columbus erected a memorial to the unborn at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Shrine in Cache Creek in the Kamloops diocese.
