Rose: To Liberal MPs Tom Wappell and Pat O’Brien for their vocal in-caucus opposition to the government’s attempts to redefine marriage. While numerous Liberal MPs have stated their opposition to the government’s plans, Wappell and O’Brien have quite vocally criticized Prime Minister Paul Martin and Justice Minister Irwin Cotler. According to the Hill Times, O’Brien is even strategizing with pro-family groups to help defeat Bill C-38. We hope their courageous and inspirational leadership on the issue brings some of their caucus colleagues around.
