Thousands sign chastity pledge

The sexual revolution coincided with “flower power” and the arrival of The Pill.  But the sexual revolution of the ’90s has a whole new flavour.  Consider the evidence. CMA rejects assisted suicide

The Canadian Medical Association has come out strongly against allowing its doctors to practice euthanasia or physician assisted death. In a move which stunned observers at the annual convention, the CMA passed a strong resolution stating that “The Canadian Medical Association declares its members should specifically exclude the practice of euthanasia and physician assisted suicide.” Calling the practice “horrifying,” Dr. Daniel MacCarthy of Vancouver proposed the resolution which was supported by 93-74 count.  Eighteen delegates abstained. U.K. judge rules “person” can include the unborn

On July 29, the London Times carried an account of the judgment handed down by Sir Louis Blom-Cooper, Q.C., in a case involving housing.  “Regina v. Newham London Borough Council.”  For the purposes of the Housing Act of 1985, the judge ruled that an unborn child was “a person who might reasonably be expected to reside” with a pregnant homeless woman.  He said it was unreasonable of Mrs. Janet Dada to refuse accommodation to the woman as unsuitable.
